My love of fashion started early on when I used to dress my cat in the doll clothes my Grandmother knit. It was no surprise that I went on to get a degree in fashion design, which led to stints in Montreal and Toronto designing everything from menswear to bridal. Ten years in I was offered a job styling a commercial and the rest as they say is shopping history.
Working on everything from features to music video I found my niche in the commercial world styling spots for the Super Bowl and the Olympics. With a strong background in pattern making and sewing, if you can dream it, I can build it. (I’m a huge hit with my daughter and her friends at Halloween.)
I’ve styled celebrities like Wayne Gretzky to Elvis Stojko . Always up for a creative challenge once I had to make printed t-shirts for 50 chickens (French and English) for an Old El Paso commercial. Now that was some fitting!
I feel very fortunate for the relationships I have formed over the years with some of the most creative people in this industry.
When people ask me about my job, most are envious…after all, I get to shop for a living.
